It has absolutely helped me get through the darkest days of the past year of daily abuses and outrages by the Trump administration. Helping to plan the messages and coordinate the actions has been my ongoing antidote to despair.

It’s made me feel not so alone, it’s made me feel empowered, it’s given me a purpose and an outlet for all of the frustration I have felt since 2015.

The Visibility Brigade has given me hope by connecting me to other people who share my love for this country and disgust for the current administration. My participation gives me a conduit to channel my energy and anger in a positive direction and a means to educate the public on issues that are not addressed in main stream media. Each and every week that we gather to set up our message, the positive responses appear to grow more and more giving me continued hope that our nation will overcome this horrible regime.

I have found Visibility Brigade to be one of the most impactful, informative and rewarding actions we do. It is a great way to reach a large audience with a clear message to bring attention to whatever topic we feel is most relevant in the moment. We also get instant feedback which is helpful. Being in an area with a very large pro administration population we get a lot of pushback, sometimes aggressively so, but there are also many positive responses.

It makes me feel like I’m participating in changing the world or at least our country and saves me from despair. So many positive impacts: building a community of like-minded thinkers who are not just fellow activists but also have become friends, sharing our messaging through social media and thus a wider audience, commitment to a cause that extends so much wider than our small city, and so much more.
